International Coach Federation, Singapore Chapter, Interview with Tara Kimbrell Cole
Member of the Month, Interview published in the International Coach Federation Newsletter, December 2011

Excerpt

What's been the biggest shift in your professional life? Personal life?

Perhaps it was through my experience of Einstein, with whom I was blessed to spend time as a very young child; passion for that which I do has been a part of who I am for most of my life. Indeed it was Einstein's deep resonance with nature that called me to discover my own, motivating me to leave Manhattan without a destination and for the completely unknown in 1988. This facilitated the biggest shift in my personal and professional life.

Synovations catalyzing innovative thought, Tara Kimbrell Cole & Oceanic Explorers invited a select group of art and history aficionados to a presentation and cocktail reception at Art Trove Gallery by Nicolai von Uexkull on the Tang Treasure.

The Cargo, considered the best existing collection of gold, silver and ceramic artifacts from the Tang Dynasty (618-906 A.D) was discovered in an underwater shipwreck off Belitung, Indonesia in 1998.

Baron von Uexkull fascinated the guests with the dynamic history of the discovery and some of the contents, dating to 826 A.D., which re-wrote Chinese art and trade history.

Afterwards the enthusiasts toured the Waterloo street gallery's celebrated retrospective of the rare art-works (1920s-1980s) of the German Expressionist, Ewald Platte (1894-1985). One of the greats of the German art scene of the 1920s, Platte exhibited with the likes of Picasso, Jawlensky, Kandinsky, Klee, Feininger and Matisse.

He was banned from exhibiting in 1933, and his work labeled "degenerate" in 1937, and in 1943 a bomb wipe out over 30 years of Platte's life work.
