Natalie Matushenko, PCC
Natalie Matushenko, PCC, CPCC is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual (fluent in Spanish and Russian, proficient in French) executive coach and management consultant with over fifteen years of experience in leadership development. Ms. Matushenko brings substantive experience in finance and project management in the corporate arena and as an entrepreneur to help her clients achieve exceptional performance results.

Ms. Matushenko has successfully coached and trained hundreds of senior executives and high-potential staff who work in a variety of sectors, including financial services, consumer goods manufacturing, environmental management, biotech, health services, communications, retail, telecommunications, information technology, education, defense, not-for-profit, and government. In her private coaching practice, her clients include several top-level executives and entrepreneurs in China and Singapore.

Ms. Matushenko excels at coaching her clients to think strategically, cultivate leadership mastery, develop the art of communication, strengthen relationships, and successfully implement behavior change to achieve significant performance results on individual, team and organizational levels. She also works with teams to be strong and productive and designs trainings that contribute to creating a high results, high positivity work environment.

Ms. Matushenko brings to her coaching extensive experience in the private, public and not-for-profit. Having worked in banking and financial services in the US and in Spain, she has strong financial and investment fluency. Ms. Matushenko also worked for six years in project development and management at the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group, where she managed fourteen large-scale manufacturing and infrastructure projects in Asia, Eastern Europe, South America and Africa. At the IFC, Ms. Matushenko had exposure to a wide array of industries and managed multi-cultural teams of professionals in structuring and negotiating projects and managing project implementation.

Several of the projects Ms. Matushenko managed at the IFC were in South American companies that manufactured and retailed internationally consumer goods, including food and household items and personal care products. Ms. Matushenko closely supervised these projects over a period of several years, including conducting multiple appraisal visits, maintaining regular contact with company management at the highest levels, reviewing company financials, market situation and competitive analysis, staffing issues, legal issues and environmental impact.

Ms. Matushenko has significant experience in working in multi-cultural environments. She has lived in four countries (Italy, Spain, Ukraine and the US), worked in fifteen countries in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia (Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam), and traveled extensively to over fifty countries, including a year spent in Southeast Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia). She has also developed and delivered an intensive leadership development training in Austria for a group consisting of twenty different nationalities for the Open Source Center Leadership Training Initiative.

Ms. Matushenko graduated with a B.S. in economics with a concentration in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and Commerce. She completed coursework in the Psychology Doctorate Program at George Washington University and has received coaching training and certification from the Coaches Training Institute, a premier global coach training program. She is accredited as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation, a Certified Co-active Coach (CPCC), and a graduate of the Center for Right Relationship’s Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching program (team building). Ms. Matushenko is certified to use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and has trained in the use of various 360 instruments, Neuro-Linguistic Coaching, crisis counseling, cultural diversity issues in Russia and Spain and Eastern spiritual studies.

Ms. Matushenko is also a consultant member of Society of Organizational Learning (SoL), a global community of educators, researchers and business leaders dedicated to the study and practice of systems thinking, organizational learning and learning-based leadership. She is also a member of the International Coach Federation and has presented trainings on best practices for coaches for the Metro DC Chapter of the ICF. She has also presented trainings on communication and leadership skills for large multi-national organizations and US government agencies.

Ms. Matushenko is married and has two daughters. She believes in giving back to her community and volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations that focus on ending homelessness.
